The hotel comprises a total of 68 rooms and offers guests access to its wonderful gardens and terrace. Facilities include a reception desk, a safe, a bar and the luxurious Tournesol restaurant in which an outstanding level of service is on offer. Guests are offered typical local dishes as well as an array of international specialities in a unique ambience. Further hotel amenities include 10 conference rooms with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment (ISDN connections, ADSL connections, frame relay, video conferencing equipment, microphones, loudspeakers, televisions, video recorders, OHPs and projectors, DVD players, a simultaneous interpreting service, photographic and video reporting) in addition to air conditioning and natural lighting. The rooms may be linked together and can thus cater for 10 to 200 persons, making them ideal spaces for all types of meetings and events. Typical of the new Ibis rooms, the bedrooms are small and basic but clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms are shower only but are also clean and comfortable and both are in very good condition.
» Exterior
The exterior of the hotel is very modern and when the additional hotel wing is completed, it will wrap over the train tracks!
» Restaurant
The entire hotel is being extended and benefitting from renovations in 2008 and while the restaurant was not yet open at time of writing this report, it will be very large and modern and will offer a brasserie type menu.
» Location
Location: in the very centre of the city, a short walk from the Central Station and the "de Kolk" car park. Well connected by the trams 1, 2, 5, 13 and 17 which all stop in front of the hotel.
