This two star hotel is in a nice building; the only drawback is that it is close to both a major road and train tracks: ask for a room at the back. Travel to the centre is easy (about seven minutes by metro). There are some interesting walks to be had in the immediate area, revealing a somewhat different side to Budapest than the impression offered by the city centre. You may wish to leave the Metro several stops before downtown, as the walk from there passes through some of Budapest's more interesting streets, full of small local cafes, shops and other interesting places.
