The location of the Natura is ideal. Just a few kilometres away from the hotel, figuring prominently over the horizon on the west, is the Akamas peninsula nature reserve, an area with an immensely rich flora and with several walking trails. Depending on the season, the hotel organizes guided walks to the Akamas and guests are welcomed to join in. Guests also have the opportunity to attend the nature lectures and slide shows that are frequently organized by the hotel . For the warmer months a boat trip along the spectacula Akamas coastline is an alternative.
The immediate surrounding area of the hotel is equally rich in wildlife. During the summer months guests will notice along the beach turtle nests which are monitored by a local conservation centre as well as by the hotel staff. The hedges that surround the hotel orange groves are full of nesting birds, while the house martins and swallows have already managed to build their own nests on the walls of the hotel. During autumn and spring the Polis Bay becomes the centre of a main migrating route for a wide variety of water birds and guests can actually birdwatch while enjoying the sunset from the hotel terrace.
