Location: The Bakong Lodge is located in the center of Siem Reap, the gateway town to the ancient temple ruins of Angkor, our lodge offers excellent value for money. Area details: Siem Reap, gateway to the Wonders of Angkor - The ruined city of Angkor has been hidden by the jungle for centuries and was "rediscovered" by French archeologists in the 19th century. The temples of Angkor were built by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD. Recreation: The Bakong Bar serves a selection of cool beers, cocktails and wines. Sit back with a drink in the comfortable rattan chairs under the shade of trees and large garden umbrellas, while chatting with fellow travelers. We have a small menu of snacks to go with your drink, and of course we serve a hearty breakfast to get you going! Rooms: Our colonial-style lodge has a total of 20 air-conditioned rooms with private bathroom, with hot shower. We have now 13 excellently equipped and stylishly decorated deluxe rooms, all with windows. The remaining 7 rooms are excellent value for budget conscious travelers. All our rooms have a mini bar and satellite TV. Our lodge has a unique Cambodian architecture, offering several areas, patios and balconies to relax, read or write. Our Bakong Bar serves cold drinks, but you are more than welcome to grab a chair on the balcony, read a book, watch the activity in the streets and enjoy a drink from the mini bar.
