Located in Arpoador between Copa and Ipanema beaches, Residencial Apartt is one of Rio's cheapest all-suite hotels. Although rooms and services here are very basic, it's a pleasant enough spot, and the money you save here will allow you to indulge in the excellent restaurants in neighbouring Ipanema. This old-fashioned hotel doesn't have a whole lot of charm. Apartt's 25 one-bedroom suites have small kitchen units, a tiny rather gloomy lounge room (with cable TV) and a bedroom (with window, so it gets decent lighting). You'll find old wooden flooring in the lounge room, and simple blue carpeting in the bedrooms. But aside from the variation in flooring there's not much happening design-wise in these apartments. The minimal furnishings have a dated look: picture floral patterns in dingy yellows and greens and you're not far from the mark. The service is friendly and breakfast is included in the price (served until 13:00, convenient for those late nights spent in the neighbourhood).
